    FFP1 respirators may only be used in working environments where no toxic or fibrogenic aerosols or dusts are present. The 4-fold occupational exposure limit (OEL) of FFP1 respirators must not be exceeded. With a separation efficiency of 78%, no more than 25% of the particles may pass through the mask in an FFP1 respirator (total leakage). FFP1 masks are mainly used in the construction industry or in the food industry.
