With the introduction of the TD5000 series tractors, the filling quantity of the air conditioning coolant was increased to 1.6 kg. The filling quantity has now been reduced to 1.4 kg and thus matches the filling quantity of the TDD series tractors.
The filling quantity of the PAG SP20 compressor oil remains unchanged at 190 ccm.
If too much R134A coolant or PAG SP20 compressor oil is filled into the air conditioning system, this can lead to excessive pressure in the system and thus to one or more of the following problems:
- Loss of performance of the air conditioning system
- Frequent engagement and disengagement of the compressor clutch or constant running of the compressor

- Failure of the compressor clutch and/or compressor
- Loss of coolant due to leakage at the hose connections
- Malfunction of the high-pressure switch of the air conditioning system
The following changes and improvements to the air conditioning system have been introduced in production:
Applies from serial number Z9JN53615 (production in Ankara), Z9JN20979 (production in Jesi):
- The coolant filling quantity is now 1.4 kg (previously 1.6 kg).
Applies from serial number ZAJN53428 (production in Ankara), ZAJN01980 (production in Jesi):
- The crimping of the hoses has been revised to avoid the risk of leaks.
Applies from serial number ZAJN53578 (production in Ankara), ZAJN01980 (production in Jesi):
- Precise checking of the tightening torque of the hose connections on the compressor.
Applies from serial number ZAJN50123 (production in Ankara), ZAJN01980 (production in Jesi):
- The temperature sensor has been repositioned in the evaporator.
When servicing or refilling the air conditioning system, ensure that it is filled with the correct amount of coolant and compressor oil as follows:
Specifications for the filling quantity of coolant for the air conditioning system:
R134A coolant: 1.4 kg
Compressor oil PAG SP20: 190 ccm
The total quantity of PAG SP20 compressor oil in the system must not exceed the specified quantity (190 ccm).
It is important that the oil quantity is calculated correctly when servicing the air conditioning system.
The amount of oil drained when draining the coolant must be measured and recorded.
When filling the system with coolant, only this quantity of new PAG SP20
must be added to the system.
When installing a new compressor, all the oil in the new compressor must be drained completely. Only the amount of oil removed from the old compressor and the air conditioning system must be added when installing the new compressor.
When connecting the high-pressure and intake hoses to the compressor, the correct tightening torque must be used to avoid tension on the compressor connections and thus possible leakage at the connectors.
Prescribed tightening torques:
High pressure hose connection (3/4 inch): 24 Nm (+/-3.0 Nm)
Suction hose connection (7/8 inch): 32 Nm (+/-4.0 N
