Cassette sealing ring 122x142x15mm

A new aluminium cover metal seal and cassette sealing ring has been introduced to improve the sealing of the rear crankshaft.
Please note that there are two different aluminium covers 87537523 with 2 threaded holes at the bottom and 87537524 without threaded holes


Fitting instructions
-Clean the sealing surfaces
-Loosely fit the seal 87801610 and aluminium cover 87537523/87537524 with screws
-Mount the cassette sealing ring 87381732 (with assembly tool 380000332 or 297116, never with a hammer)
-Align the aluminium cover with the exact edge of the engine oil pan and tighten the screws lightly.
-Check whether the aluminium cover is still exactly aligned with the oil pan.
-Tighten the screws in the correct sequence with 16-23 Nm. (Assembly sequence can be downloaded as a PDF from the product information page).



-Air flange 87537523 with 2 threads at the bottom for screw connection with oil sump 1.11.1991-31.03.1994 up to engine number 182736 (7839)

-Air flange 87537524 without thread at the bottom for screw connection with oil sump from 1 April 1995 from engine number 182737
