Failure of the canopy hinge may occur in the area of the lower screw fixings on the support frame.
In case of failure of the canopy hinge due to cracks, it is recommended to install the latest lower hinge section.
A modified lower hinge section has been introduced into production.
The modified lower hinge section has the following improvements:
A stepped fixing surface which results in an increase in thickness around the fixing screws.
The reinforcing ribs now have webs to provide more strength.
These improvements ensure a better support surface and more stability.
The improved hinge has been introduced into production from serial number:
HJS075122 - Jesi
EKS005616 - St. Valentin
NOTE :
As a containment action in production, additional shims were installed on the previous hinge between the support frame and the lower hinge section
This containment action was valid in production from serial number:
HJS065065 - Jesi
EKS005196 - St. Valentin
With the new improved lower hinge section, these shims are now unnecessary.
