The cause may be an incorrectly set lifting height limitation!
2-3mm play on the outer part of the lifting arm measured from the toothing !
If the lift cannot be raised or lowered, carry out the following checks:
Check the setting of the Lift-o-matic cable as it may restrict the movement of the control valve.
Perform a pressure test of the hydraulic system. Use the workshop manual to ensure that the hydraulic system is working properly. Carry out repair if necessary.
Remove and disassemble the control valve assembly. Clean the assembly and check the valves. Replace any defective valves.
Remove and clean the supply line between the auxiliary control valve and the trailer hitch valve.
Replace the control valve assembly if, even after working through the above steps, the linkage still moves slowly or cannot be raised or lowered at all.
Contamination of the hydraulic system.
In an unknown number of tractors the central housings were not cleaned correctly during production. For this reason, the hydraulic system may be contaminated with machining dust and deposits. A contaminated hydraulic system works slowly or in severe cases fails completely.
To check whether there is machining dust and debris in the system, remove the hydraulic filter and cut it open. If the filter is clogged, you must remove, check and clean the following components:
The stroke control valve (part number 5089469) and its internal components.
All auxiliary valve supply and return lines. Pay particular attention to the hydraulic line between the hydraulic pump and the rear auxiliary control valves.
Drain the hydraulic fluid, flush and refill the system. Install a new hydraulic filter and operate the three-point hitch system continuously for 30 to 45 minutes. Drain the fluid again, flush and refill the system and install a new hydraulic filter again. In some extreme cases, flushing must be done twice and three filters must be installed until all contaminants are removed.
