    Product information:

    1.if the brake pedals are "spongy" or travel an excessive distance, this could indicate that air is trapped in the hydraulic brake system, there is a leak in the hydraulic brake system or the hydraulic service brakes need adjustment.

    2.make sure that the adjustment of the hydraulic service brake is correct. 3.

    3.When removing the plastic protective caps from the rear brake cylinders to access the brake adjustment nuts, ensure that there is no fluid in the exposed cavities. Fluid in this area would indicate a leak in the brake cylinder piston. Follow the steps below to check:
    i. Visually inspect the slave cylinder and ensure that no leakage is visible from the outside. There are two points to pay particular attention to.
    - Remove the cap and check the inside of the piston.
    - Remove the piston from the drive train and check the back of the piston.
    Dismantle the piston and check the seal geometry, (sharp edge) If the geometry is not correct, replace the seal with the seal assembly kit (part number: 47572308) or use a TITAN brand slave cylinder (part number: 84392195).

    4. make sure that the height of the brake pedals is as specified and that both brake pedals are adjusted evenly. If the brake pedal height is uneven when the pedals are depressed, this may cause the hydraulic circuits of the master brake cylinder (equalising pipe) to open. Make the appropriate adjustments. 5.

    Make sure that there is no air trapped in the brake master cylinder (crossover) compensation tube. This is an area of the hydraulic brake system where air can build up and be difficult to remove. Carry out the bleeding procedure. 6.

    6. inspect the entire brake hydraulic system for possible leaks or air infiltration. A leak in the hydraulic brake system is generally indicated by a drop in the brake fluid level in the reservoir. However, it is possible that the operator has topped up the brake fluid if it was below the prescribed level. 7.

    7. if it is suspected that brake fluid has been topped up, ensure that only the correct brake oil has been used in the system. The prescribed brake oil for these units is LHM. (item number 1017128)
