Muffler improvements
The exhaust silencer has been redesigned to achieve 11 KPA backpressure.
Muffler outlet size has been reduced from 100 mm to 75 mm above the exhaust port.

Exhaust manifold and turbocharger improvements
The exhaust manifold and turbocharger design of six-cylinder, four-valve engines was changed in production from October 2003.
The new exhaust manifold can be identified by a single connection at the turbocharger mounting point. Early parts had a twin port opening.
The new turbocharger can be identified externally, by a narrower 62 mm wide turbocharger exhaust runner housing, and 'GT BRITAIN' lettering on the side. Earlier parts were 72 mm wide.
If necessary, ensure that the latest silencer is fitted and check the exhaust noise before replacing the turbocharger and manifold.
