Fuel gauge sensor 67x565mm

There have been some reports that the fuel level displayed on the instrument cluster does not change when the actual fuel in the tank has been changed.
The level seems to be "stuck" at a certain point. There are no fault codes relating to the fuel level sensor.
Upon investigation, it was found that the fuel level sender (part number 47463452) may be mounted at a slight angle. If the sender is mounted at a slight angle, the base of the sender may make contact with a raised section of the ledge in the fuel tank base plate. If this occurs, the PCB strip in the fuel level sender may become deformed, causing the float to jam.
To solve the problem, remove the fuel level sensor and separate the section of the PCB strip that protrudes from the bottom of the fuel level sensor.
If the lower section of the PCB strip does not protrude from the base of the sender, the PCB strip will not deform and the float will move freely up and down the tube, .The fuel gauge will then function correctly.
