    Thermostat bypass valve cracks and/or breaks apart and falls to the bottom of the thermostat housing.
    Updated with latest part number 24 May 2006.
    Remove both thermostats from the thermostat housing to check the bypass valve. Check for cracks and make sure the bypass valve is intact. If the thermostats are damaged, replace both thermostats.
