The lights on the Dual Command Hi/Lo gearboxes may illuminate alternately.
This problem is caused by the gear lever activating the status switches when selecting the gear or group.

As an interim solution, two copper washers (part number: 10280060) are placed

The two built-in copper washers provide the required additional clearance.
As a final solution, improved shift covers for gear and
group selection have been introduced into production from the following serial numbers:

On the new gearshift covers (87747940/87747943) the seats of the status switches have been made 1.5 mm deeper.
