CONCERNS: NEW TRANSMISSION SOFTWARE
The new 24 x 24 and 12 x 12 transmission control (XCM) software version 02.00.00.00 has been introduced into production and for maintenance purposes.
Transmission software version 02.00.00.00 is included in EST update 5.4.0.0.
PRODUCTION:
The gearbox software version 02.00.00.00 was introduced into production from the following serial numbers:
Equipped with electronic linkage control (EDC): Z9JH06220.
Equipped with mechanical linkage control (MDC): Z9JH06060.
The new transmission software version 02.00.00.00 replaces the software version 01.01.00.00 previously used in production and includes the following functions and improvements:
1. new function for setting the shift behaviour during shuttling and start-up via the shuttl lever. The following three mode settings are available:
Low: Soft Mid: Medium High: High
All machines from the affected serial numbers onwards were delivered complete with the latest edition of the operating manual.

Notes:
By "shuttle function" it is understood that the user changes the direction of travel with the shuttle lever.
By "automatic start-up function" it is understood that the driver sets the speed (with gear and group) while the shuttle lever is in neutral and then moves the shuttle lever in forward or reverse direction. The software then

Note: "Direction change operation" is understood to mean that the driver changes the
direction using the shuttle lever with the clutch pedal depressed, and then
then engaging the transmission by releasing the clutch pedal.
5. an improved threshold setting for the electronic linkage control (EDC).
For machines before the affected serial number:
The latest software version 02.00.00.00 can be downloaded to all earlier transmission electronics boxes (XCM)
of the T5000 series from the start of production.
Ensure that EST software version 5.4.0.0 (or higher) has been downloaded to your EST laptop computer.

Once the new software has been downloaded, you will need to check the Powershuttle transmission clutch calibrations and adjust them if necessary. Refer to the workshop manual.
While calibrating the clutch, make sure the transmission oil temperature is 50°C (between 40°C and 60°C, but NOT less than 40°C). Dealers who do not have an EST laptop should contact their New Holland Area Service Manager.
Important Notice:
When downloading transmission software version 02.00.00.00 to previous tractors equipped with software version 01.01.00.00, the relevant pages of the owner's manual supplement with part number 84162933 must be given to the customer and/or driver.
This is necessary for information on the new functions and modes available. The supplement to the Owner's Manual with part number 84162933 is available from Spare Parts Logistics.

PARTS AFFECTED:
The previous and new transmission electronics boxes are fully interchangeable.
