Version without front axle brake
It can happen that the retaining screws for the ring gear carrier on the front axle of the all-wheel drive (4WD) can come loose. If these bolts loosen, oil may leak from the hub seal area on the planetary gear housing. Oil leaks from the bearings of the planetary reduction gear housing due to reduced bearing preload. Screws can come loose and cause mechanical failure of the planetary gears in the planetary reduction housing.
To remedy this problem, NEW HOLLAND has introduced a new one-piece locking plate 47983461with 6 new bolts 47797649 instead of the six individual washers, which exerts a more uniform clamping force.
Together with the new one-piece locking plate 47983461 NEW HOL-LAND also changed the steering knuckle 47875022 right 47875023 left the ring gear carrier (47875483 (6 holes17mm)) because the outside diameter of the hollow bushings was increased from 16 mm to 17 mm to ensure a more precise fit of the parts.
