Fit the latest PWM valve.
Symptom
Hard switching after installing the new software SBS 02.01.00.00
Solution
This information only applies to units with Powershuttle transmission.
The problem with hard shifting with clutch pedal and shift lever was solved with the implementation of the new
implementation of the new SBS 02.01.00.00 software in 2011.
Occasionally, the problem can occur again with some units: the internal slider of the PWM valves can rotate in some operating states and then causes a change in the filling time of the clutches, resulting in a hard shift.
of the clutches, which leads to a hard or uneven behaviour when engaging.
Factory solution
New PWM slip-in valves (with a locking system for the internal spool) have been developed and will be

Note: the new PWM valves (slip-in type) do not require a spool alignment procedure during assembly.

Field solution
New PWM screw-in valves (with a locking system for the internal spool) have been developed for maintenance.
maintenance.
If this symptom is reported, it is recommended to replace the PWM screw-in valve (part number
84148281) with the new valve (part number 84526248).
Screw the new valve onto the seat with the correct tightening torque.
Mark the vertical side of the control valve to identify the vertical position.
Unscrew the valve and remove it from the control valve.
Turn the cap (1) and the inner spool (2) using a screwdriver to obtain the correct alignment of the reference opening.

Screw the new valve onto the seat with the correct tightening torque.
Mount the coil on the new valve 84526248.
Reconnect the wiring harness to the valve.
To complete the installation, carry out the following steps:
Download the latest version of the SBS software via EST and install it.
Open the "SB - H3" menu; the values A and B for the clutch filling time must be 50 ms.
Switch to the "SB - H7" menu and select the "Ch1" channel.
The status of the clutch pedal switch must change:
>5 % of the travel when the pedal is pressed.
<15 % of the travel when the pedal is released.
Note: If the status of the switch is outside this range (>5% to <15%), move the switch to the correct position.
the switch to the correct position.
Heat the transmission oil to a temperature of > 60 °C.
Complete the clutch calibration procedure as described in the maintenance manual.
Move the tractor forwards and backwards 5 times using the powershift.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 three times.
